Why wait for your body to go wrong before you learn how to put it right? Does it not make more sense to truly “Know Yourself” so that you can optimise your form and function and only wait for the enjoyment of another day?
Why wait until your body can no longer move freely before you consider the foods you put in your mouth? Is it not better to “Know the food YOUR body can digest the best then optimise those choices” rather than optimising the foods that affect your weight, mood, quality of skin, hair, teeth etc and leave a foul smell in your bathroom? Why eat less of what is good for you and more of what is bad. Is true pleasure in eating yourself to death or eating and enjoying life?
Why wait for your pelvic floor to let you down, before you even realise you have one? It’s like building a house without a foundation and wondering why it cannot support its contents and is subsiding into the ground! You don’t need to see your foundation to appreciate it. You just need to have the confidence that it exists and has been built to last!
You have to pursue health if you want have and enjoy it, which means you have to invest in it daily with the right knowledge and understanding, discipline and choice.
Since the pelvis is the “basin” on which the trunk “sits” and the legs “sit in” as the link to our inner and outer worlds: our identity, sexuality, our true measure of confidence, happiness and wellbeing, should it not be given a little more attention? And since the pelvic floor “Lives inside” the “Basin” and assists in its stability surely a little investment here will save a lot of heartache.
