Unlock your FULL female potential

To understand the FULL female potential of the pelvic floor muscles is to appreciate the strength that exists within them on a daily basis. These muscles and their ligaments are strong enough to hold a compacted colon and bladder, which can weigh as much as 14lb/1 stone, as well as providing daily support of the other internal organs, weight of trunk, limbs and head. These are the most overlooked and under-rated muscles within the body that assist in the provision of the most exquisite sexual feeling, freedom of movement (including eliminating waste), posture, gait and new life (childbirth).

  • Why are these muscles so overlooked?
  • Why do we get so embarrassed by them?
  • And why do we dismiss them as un-important to daily living?

They literally hold the “keys to the world” – the world of peace, confidence and happiness. Because there is no happiness in wetting our knickers, having an “are we there yet moment” in intimacy, or having to “pad up” before we jump up. When I wrote my first pelvic floor poem many years ago I had no idea how powerful the opening line was: “My pelvic floor, something you cannot see can either reward or debilitate me….”

Statistics state that 1 in 3 people have a pelvic floor secret they are not confident or willing to share. Whilst many adverts may try to normalise embarrassing leaks: leaks are jus that – embarrassing! This first line of the poem is so powerful because it speaks about the awareness that allows us to remain in control at all stages of our life through all our activities.

The good news is muscles have an amazing ability to repair and rebuild with the right stimulus, nutrition and lifestyle considerations. As long as we are willing to add a few simple adjustments to our current routine, we can unlock the true pelvic floor secrets that allow us to jump, run and laugh freely without the fear of embarrassing leaks. And we can experience better sexual feeling and even stronger orgasms, all of which is good for the muscles, mind and the man in our life!

To top it all, our pelvic floor muscles play a crucial role in the shape and contour of our thighs, buttocks, lower abdominals and posture.  It is the ultimate body transformation. What do we have to lose? Certainly not our dignity! Once we have a better understanding of what they actually do and how they actually reward us continually, embarrassment is the last thing we feel. Empowerment becomes the first and they become very important to our daily living.

“Be Ready, Be Educated”

My Pelvic Floor

My Pelvic Floor, something you cannot see

Can either reward or debilitate me!

I can choose to ignore it and not value its role

Then under the knife I may just have to go

Extra protection I need when I laugh

And… ‘The feeling’ in intimacy… a memory that’s past

Or I can choose to acknowledge, condition and enjoy

“Gripping” and “lifting” and jumping for joy

A little attention, a few moments a day and

I can confidently – ‘continently’ be on my way.
